Brief Bio
Bran Selic is President of Malina Software Corp., a Canadian company that provides consulting services to corporate clients and government institutions worldwide. He is also Director of Advanced Technology at Zeligsoft Limited in Canada, and a Visiting Scientist at Simula Research Laboratories in Norway. In 2007, Bran retired from IBM Canada, where he was an IBM Distinguished Engineer responsible for setting the strategic direction for software development tools. Currently, he is also an adjunct professor at Monash University and the University of Sydney in Australia. With over 40 years of practical experience in
designing and implementing large-scale industrial software systems, Bran has pioneered the application of model-based engineering methods and has led the definition of several international standards in that domain, including the widely used Unified Modeling Language (UML). In 2016, he was presented with a lifetime Career Award by the steering committee of the IEEE/ACM MoDELS conference in recognition of his contributions to model-driven technologies and practice.

Brief Bio
Slimane Hammoudi is Professor at ESEO in Angers-France, a graduate school of engineering in electronics, computing, networking and telecommunications. Since 2003 his research interests have been in the main area of Model Driven Engineering with the focus on two application domains: Web Services and Context-Awareness. Since 2005, he has served as a co-chair of a workshop on Model Driven Development (MDEIS and FTMDD), a satellite workshop of ICEIS, international conference on enterprise information systems.

Luís Ferreira Pires was born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1961. He obtained his B.Sc. degree in Electronics from the 'Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica' (São José dos Campos, Brazil) in 1983 and, his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the 'Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo' (São Paulo, Brazil), in the Computer Networks specialisation, in 1989. He obtained his PhD degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Twente, Enschede, the Netherlands, in September 1994.

h fellow of the Faculty of Computer Science, from 1992 to 1994 as Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and since 1994 as Associate Professor of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science. He is currently also Programme Director of the Business & IT Bachelor and Master Education Programmes of the University of Twente. He is a member of the Services, Cyber-security and Safety (SCS) group. His professional interests are design methodologies for distributed systems, architecture of distributed systems, modelling and specification techniques, middleware platforms and telematics applications. He is responsible for the Master courses ‘Service-Oriented Architecture with Web services’ and ‘ADSA: Model-Driven Engineering’, and he contributes to the Bachelor Modules ‘Software Systems’ and ‘Data and Information’.

Dr. Christian Colombo is a senior lecturer within the Department of Computer Science at the University of Malta. For the past years, he has focused his research on runtime verification, software testing, compensating transactions, and domain specific languages. Through a number of projects, he has been involved in the design and development of several verification tools, particularly Larva, aimed at the financial transaction industry. He is currently aiming to adapt runtime verification techniques to the sphere of security, more specifically in the areas of protocols and android devices.
