Within the 4th International Conference on Model-Driven Engineering and Software Development - MODELSWARD 2016

Antonia Bertolino
Italian National Research Council - CNR

Brief Bio
Antonia Bertolino is a Research Director of the Italian National Research Council (CNR), in Pisa. She is an internationally renowned researcher in Software Engineering, having more than 150 co-authored papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. She investigates approaches for software and services validation, testing, and monitoring, and on these topics has worked in several national and European projects, including the most recent Learn PAd, CHOReOS, and NESSOS. Currently she serves as an Area Editor for the Elsevier Journal of Systems and Software, and as an Associate Editor of ACM Transactions on Software Engineering and Methodology, and of Springer Empirical Software Engineering. She has recently been the General Chair of the flagship ACM/IEEE Conference ICSE 2015, Florence (Italy). She serves regularly in the Program Committee of the most renowned conferences in the field of Software Engineering, such as ESEC-FSE and ICSE, and in software testing and analysis, as ISSTA and ICST.
Alfonso Pierantonio
University of L'Aquila
Brief Bio
Alfonso Pierantonio is Associate Professor in Computer Science at the University of LÕAquila (Italy). His current research interests include Model-Driven Engineering with a specific emphasis on coupled evolution and bidirectionality. Alfonso has been involved in several national and international projects including FP7 Learn PAd, EU-FP7 Ossmeter, EU-FP7 Mancoosi. He has been on the program, steering, or organization committees of many international conferences. Alfonso is a member of the editorial boards of Systems and Software Modeling (Springer) and Special Issue Editor of the Journal of Object Technology. He published more than 100 papers in international scientific conferences and journals. He is currently director of the Master in Web Technology degree program.

In modern competitive society both public and private organizations are under pressure to constantly improve the efficiency and quality of their services, while decreasing budget. The key resource is the people, who are challenged to master latest technologies, procedures and rules within tight time constraints. Models can help to manage and represent complex pieces of information and their relations. Flexible, adaptive and enhanced learning processes that can be adopted at work are key to success. LMCO'16 targets researchers and practitioners on innovative technology-enhanced learning solutions for complex organizations to disseminate and exchange ideas, identify relevant open issues, explore possible solutions and their assessment. We target, in particular, the cross-fertilization of at least the communities related to business modeling, learning, and enterprise engineering.

Topics include (but are not limited to):
- modeling techniques in learning
- business modeling
- enterprise architecture modeling
- knowledge-intensive processes
- e-learning
- simulation-based learning
- automated quality assessment
- natural language processing
- learning KPIs
